Idaho’s new Governor delivers his State of the State address

This week the First Regular Session of the 65th Idaho Legislature convened in Boise. Legislators from all over the state gathered at the Capitol in Boise to begin the people’s work of balancing the state’s budget and considering proposals for new regulations and law.

After ten years serving as Idaho’s Lt. Governor, Brad Little was sworn in as Idaho’s 33rd Governor. A number of inaugural events were held as part of the transition in the executive branch. On Monday, the new Governor delivered his first State of the State address which is available for you to read on the Governor’s webpage at www.gov.idaho.gov.

During the speech, the Governor focused on his plan to improve Idaho’s education system, reduce unnecessary government regulation, and keep Idaho’s economy moving in the right direction.
